The men of RiverLakes Community Church (Men of RCC), believe that God is seeking men to stand in the gap to repair the walls of a lost generation. Forsaking what is behind and pursuing our prize promised by God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Together we can lead others to be courageous men of God through the demonstration of His love.
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. Philippians 3:12-17
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30

Joshua comes to us as a man who was a dynamic leader-in his family as well as in the nation of Israel. Though he literally trembled when he was called to succeed his great mentor, Moses, he grabbed hold of God's promises and led Israel into the Promised Land. His open heart, spirit of humility, and willingness to be taught allowed him to learn God's lesson for him well. He also knew that God understands our weakness and that He promises us security and inner peace if we will only reach out and accept it. Though Joshua faced real flesh and blood battles, he shows how men today can put on the 'whole armor of God' to defeat the powers of darkness just as surely in the conference room or on the factory floor.

Everyone knows Samson. Yep, the dude with the rippling biceps and hippie hair and a thing for Delilah. You may be surprised how much men in general have in common with this guy. By looking at his life, you’ll learn how to defeat the demons that make strong men weak.
Become the one God made you to be: A man who knows how to fight for what’s right. The fights that determine the state of your heart, the quality of your marriage, and the spiritual health of your family. Don’t you dare show up for this fight unarmed. Learn how to fight with faith, with prayer, and with the Word of God. It’s time to fight like a man.

When Jesus called his disciples to join him, he was calling them into a relationship with Him. Men’s bible study is designed with an intentional leader who will guide the group toward growing that relationship with Jesus by encouraging men to share about their lives. As we open the Bible together, we learn that it speaks to the real issues that we face every day. In these discipleship groups we learn about life and the tool to turn to the bible, for the answers.
