Crazy Love
God’s love is so amazing! It is so unbelievable! It is so radical! It is “Crazy Love!” That the Sovereign Creator and Lord of the universe would love each of us so deeply, intensely and intimately is an unbelievable truth of this life that is reflected continually in His Word and through His actions pertaining to each of us on a daily basis. God is love and He wants us to understand and embrace this fact in each of our individual lives. God’s love is what binds and gives purpose to everything in this life. In Mark 12:30-31, Jesus clearly explains what our response to this divine love should be in what is known as the Great Commandment. Jesus says, “The most important commandments are … Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” Jesus went on to say in Matthew 22:40, “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commands.” As people who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ, these two commands should be the basis for our entire existence. Do we really love God as He intends and desires us to love Him? Do we really love others as He intends and desires us to love them? Our desire is that we humble ourselves before the Lord and allow Him to transform our hearts and minds so that we might be people who reflect His “Crazy Love” in every aspect of our lives on this earth.
