REINFORCING RCC’S COMMITMENT TO GLOBAL MISSIONS

Dave Champness, President of International Christian Ministries, delivered a heart-felt message concerning the changing landscape of Global Missions around the world to highlight Global Missions Sunday on November 4, 2018. In addition, Cheryl Levey reported on “The Persecuted Church” and led a focused prayer time for our brothers and sisters who are living in a state of persecution on a daily basis. Executive Pastor, Steve Downs, provided a summary of the Global Missions vision and plan for RCC in 2018-19 and our commitment to help take the Gospel Message to the ends of the earth.

EXCITED TO BRING CHRISTMAS TO LAKE ISABELLA

On December 12 - 15, 2018, RCC will join with other local churches to provide relief/rebuild work, prayer support and bring a little Christmas joy to hurting and needy families in Lake Isabella who are still recovering from the ravages of the Erskine Fire from a few years ago. A sincere thanks goes out to the RCC family for providing gifts and financial support during the past few weeks for these struggling people at Christmas time. If you would still like to join the team or participate by donating Christmas gifts, contact Angelo Frazier in the church office. Please pray the Lord uses this act of love for His purposes and His glory.

MEANINGFUL EVENTS TO HELP YOU CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR

We want to highlight two RCC events that we believe will help your family have a more meaningful and worshipful Christmas this year. The first is a night of family worship on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 6:00pm in our Main Auditorium. The theme for the evening is “Hope for the Ages” and it will feature a multi-generational worship service that will focus on the blessings and glory of the Christmas Story. The second is our annual Christmas Eve Service on Monday, December 24, 2018. We will offer two service times, 2:00pm and 4:00pm, and it is a wonderful way to set your hearts right to celebrate Christmas on the following day. Mark your calendars, invite family and friends, and join us for these two meaningful celebrations of Christmas this year.

REJOICING IN THE GRACIOUS SUPPORT FOR BOXES OF LOVE 2018

We are thanking all of you who participated in the annual Thanksgiving Boxes of Love drive. Because of your generosity, RCC provided 650 Thanksgiving dinners for needy and less fortunate families in our community. While the Thanksgiving dinner is a blessing, the primary purpose of this ministry is to bridge relationships that open up opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus with those who do not know Him.

ENCOURAGING MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT CLASS

Over 30 couples completed an encouraging eight-week journey through our Marriage Enrichment Class in November. The class was designed to address many of the struggles and issues in the marriage relationship and help each couple find lasting hope for their marriage. Please pray the Lord continues the work of healing and growing these marriage relationships into the future.

AN EVENING OF FUN AND ENCOURAGEMENT AT DATE NIGHT

A group of 30 couples gathered in the Community Center on November 3 for a special date night hosted by RCC. After a delicious dinner, couples enjoyed an evening of laughter as they engaged in the “Not So Newlywed Game.” The evening was designed to encourage fellowship amongst RCC couples and help strengthen and grow their marriage relationships.”

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
