EXCITING COMPLETION TO “QUESTIONS PEOPLE ARE ASKING” SERMON SERIES

Our sermon series entitled, “Questions People Are Asking” ended on a high note with a live Question & Answer Forum on June 5 in the Community Center.  The evening began with a time of worship before moving into the live forum.  Three of our Pastors, Matt Vorhees, Brent Van Elswyk and Nik Crown, comprised a panel who answered 10 specific and culturally relevant questions submitted by members of our congregation.  It was an informative and meaningful time and we will plan on having similar Q & A sessions in the future.

LAUNCHING SUMMER SERIES ENTITLED, “CHALLENGES FACING THE AMERICAN CHURCH”

Whereas the previous sermon series answered questions that our culture is dealing with today, the current summer sermon series will answer significant challenges that the American Church is facing internally.  Beginning on June 30 and running for the next six weeks, members of our Pastoral Staff will tackle topics dealing with Biblical Illiteracy, Pornography, Marriage Issues, the importance of Biblical Community and Church involvement, Reaching Generation “Z” and the Church and Politics.  Plan on inviting friends and family members and make it a priority to attend each week as we address significant issues that the American Church is facing and having to deal with in today’s culture.

REJOICING IN THE SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP TO ROMANIA

Nine of our people had the privilege of serving with Children to Love (CTL) in Romania from June 13-23.   The Team spent their time loving on and caring for the orphans and support staff in the orphanages in Romania associated with CTL.  The week was a great time for our RCC people to be the hands and feet of Jesus, but also to grow and stretch them in their personal walks with Christ.  The church is invited to attend a debrief on Wednesday, July 17 in room 121.  Mark your calendars to attend this exciting and encouraging report back from our short-term team who served in Romania.

“Now the Bereans were of more noble character, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
