REJOICING IN A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE EVENT

Over the weekend of February 28-29, RCC hosted a Marriage Event entitled, “Acts of Renewal.”  More than 70 couples gathered for the two-day event in which Dr. Jim and Carol Shores combined comedy/theater with insightful approaches concerning how to navigate through the daily issues and struggles of the marriage relationship.  Please pray for the couples who attended the event and ask the Lord to continue to do His work of grace in their marriage relationships that was ignited during this weekend.

PRAISE FOR SUCCESSFUL PIER 56 YOUTH WINTER CAMP

We are praising the Lord for how He worked in and through the fifth and sixth grade students at their Winter Camp in Hartland.  RCC took 27 of our fifth and sixth graders to Hartland on January 31-February 2 for a special time of learning more about Jesus and bonding together as a group.  Several of the students made recommitments to their faith in Jesus and many relationships were formed that will carry these students through the rest of the school year.

EXCITED ABOUT THE IMPACT OF THE “PARENTING” SERMON SERIES

On February 23, we launched a three week sermon series entitled, “Effective Parenting in a Defective World.”  The final message of the sermon series, “Proverbs for Parenting” will be preached this coming Sunday, March 8.  As a follow-up to the series, we are inviting people to attend a Parenting Q & A session on Monday, March 23, in the Community Center beginning at 6:30pm.  We will have an expert panel on hand to answer specific parenting questions that may not have been touched on during the sermon series.  Please mark your calendars and plan on attending this informal Q & A time concerning everyday parenting issues and struggles.

PRAY FOR RCC GROUP HEADED TO ISRAEL

From March 10-19, 50 people from RCC will travel to Israel for a tour of the Holy Land.  Join us in prayer that each person on the trip will view and understand Scripture as they never have before.  Ask the Lord to make the Bible come alive for these people as they visit the sites where many of the passages of Scripture actually took place.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
