Important Parking Information

Many of you have been informed of a parking issue on our campus. Because of a formal complaint filed by a citizen in our community, the City of Bakersfield must enforce a Municipal Code that prohibits anyone from parking on any unpaved areas on our campus.

Effective immediately, we can no longer park on any unpaved locations on our campus. Parking in the following areas is prohibited at all times:

1. Dirt field adjacent to the North Parking lot.
2. All dirt areas on the West Side of the campus by the portable classrooms.
3. All dirt areas adjacent to the South Parking lot by the Main Auditorium.

We recognize this situation may cause difficulties for a number of our congregants, especially our senior citizens. In an effort to address this situation, our senior citizens will be allowed to park on the grass field close to the Main Auditorium on Sunday mornings. For all others and for events on campus during the week, we must ask that you plan to park in one of the two designated parking lots on the north and south ends of the campus. Our Parking Team will assist on Sunday mornings and help to facilitate the parking changes. We also are asking people if they would consider parking across the street in the Shopping Center parking lot for the next few weeks.

These are temporary fixes to our immediate parking issue. We are in the process of developing and implementing a long-term solution to address this issue.
